Detroit gets the name "Motor City" from it's famous automotive industry. Many famous auto manufacturers have a rich history in the city of Detroit. One particular company that has strong roots in the motor city is Ford. Ford has their headquarters located in detroit and even build a stadium for the Detroit Lions called Ford Field.
The city is also famous for it's history in baseball with the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers have been in Major League Baseball since the year 1901. They have won four seperate World Series titles since their establishment. Currently, their home stadium in Detroit is known as Comerica Park.
